Duality — push, pull. Effort, ease. Work, rest. Inhale, exhale.
Duality exists within our practice and within ourselves. Can you find the flow within the foundation? The strength and the ease? We breathe in and out. Our muscles work in opposition—push and pull; flexion and extension; quads and hamstrings; triceps and biceps. We build heat and cool down; work and rest—the yang and yin of yoga. We find center in our bodies through duality—our counter movements to create balance.
What are ways you notice duality in your life off of your mat? Our breath is always with us, right? Do you find ways to reset after a long day? Our friendships and relationships feel full when the sum overtime is close to equal giving and receiving. Duality is all around us. How can you create a balance that makes sense for you right now?
